Homemade Juice!

I wanted to write a post today about making juice. I only recently bought myself a Breville Juice Fountatin Juicer (a few months ago) and I love it! I think making juice is a great way to get extra vegetables into your diet and makes a light, healthy snack at work and on the go!
So far I have stuck with pretty basic juices. The vegetables I've used so far are:
Carrots
cucumbers
kale
ginger
beets
celery
and the fruits for added vitamins and sweetness:
apples
oranges
lemons
limes
I always try to use as many vegetables as I can and not a lot of fruit (because of all the sugar in fruit). So when I use fruit it's mostly just for a few added vitamins and to make the juice sweeter or taste different.
I found it very surprising that even just carrots taste quite good all alone, so it's been very fun to experiment with different flavours.
To give you an idea about the vegetable to fruit ratio here is one of my most used recipes:
Carrot Apple Ginger Juice
1 bag of carrots
2 apples
1 lemon
fresh ginger
This juice is delicious!
